Daily Water Tracker
Log beverages by volume and review a running total for today. Entries stay in this browser on this device; the tracker does not send them to the site.
Today’s drink log
No target set.
Tracking without turning it into a rule
Optional, browser-only log
Entries are stored in this browser’s local storage and organized by local calendar date. Clearing browser data or switching devices can remove or separate the log.
What counts?
This log records beverages you choose to enter. It does not measure the moisture in food, and its total is not equivalent to total water intake.
No universal target
The target field is optional and user-entered. Follow clinician instructions when you have a prescribed fluid plan; do not use the tracker to override a fluid limit.
Use the simplest useful record
Some people prefer a paper note or a bottle count. Tracking is optional; stop if it becomes stressful or unhelpful.
The CDC notes that water from foods and beverages contributes to daily intake and that needs vary. CDC water overview.
What the tracker records
When you add a drink, the page converts its entered volume to milliliters and stores the label and amount in your browser’s local storage for the current date. The entries stay in that browser profile on that device; they do not sync to another phone or computer. Clearing site data, using private browsing, or switching browsers may remove or separate the log. Anyone with access to the same browser profile may be able to see it.
Log only what helps
Choose a familiar unit, enter the amount, and optionally give it a short label such as “water” or “tea.” You do not need to record every sip if a rough note or bottle count is enough.
Know what the total means
The total adds only beverages you enter. It does not estimate moisture in meals or represent complete total water intake. A missed entry makes the running beverage total incomplete.
Targets are optional
The target is entered by you and is used only for the on-screen progress display. It is not a recommendation from DrinkWaterUSA. Leave it blank if you do not use a target.
Clear a day’s entries
Use the clear control to remove the current day’s logged drinks from this browser. It does not clear entries stored on another device or in another browser profile.
Tracking without pressure
A log can help you notice a routine, but it should not become a measure of success or a reason to drink beyond comfort. Tracking is optional. If recording intake creates stress or is not useful, stop and use a simpler approach. If your care team asked you to monitor fluids, ask them which beverages and units to include and how to handle your specific plan.
For privacy, avoid entering names, diagnoses, or other sensitive notes in labels. This tool keeps its entries in browser storage rather than uploading them to the site’s WordPress database, but browser data is not a secure medical record. The Privacy Policy explains this tool’s local storage behavior.
Frequently asked questions
Will my log follow me to another device?
No. Entries are stored locally in the browser profile you are using. They are not synchronized by this tool.
Does the total include water from food?
No. It totals only drinks you manually enter. Food moisture is not measured.
Can I use it as a medical record?
No. It is a simple personal browser log, not a medical record or monitoring service. Follow your care team’s instructions for clinically important tracking.
